Mr Porter

Persol is a name synonymous with the world of cinema. For decades its sunglasses have adorned the faces of some of Hollywood's biggest stars, earning it a special place in the off-duty actor's wardrobe. Yet, while a classic is always cool, sometimes a little change can go a long way...

With one eye on the past and another resolutely on the future, Persol has reinvented two of its most iconic frames for a whole new era. Both the 649 and Cellor models have received slimmer profiles using metal detailing (including a standout Victor Flex metal bridge) for a lightweight, contemporary look. And what better way to celebrate this stylish new incarnation than with the help of one of modern cinema's fastest-rising talents: Mr. Scott Eastwood, son of Clint himself.

As part of their "Meet the New Generation" campaign, Persol, Eastwood and filmmaker Andrew Dominik have produced a short film taking you behind the scenes of a screen test. Shot in timeless black and white, the video captures a precious glimpse of effortless, everyday Hollywood style, long before those big film cameras start rolling.
