The Parisian concept store, Centre Commercial, this year celebrates five years in business. The store, situated on the rue de Marseille in the city’s Tenth Arrondissement, commits itself to championing and stocking brands committed to sustainable, transparent business practices.
“First being the project’s code name, Centre Commercial became the actual shop’s name, a name which redefines what consumption should be,” says Sébastien Kopp, Centre Commercial’s co-founder along with François-Ghislain Morillion.
“We didn’t want to listen to people who do nothing but talk, who tell you what you’re supposed to do, who only make speeches about tomorrow’s society,” he adds. “We wished to open a place where the ones who build it, the ones who make it [tomorrow’s society] can express themselves.”
The store’s founders are also behind the sustainable sneaker label, Veja, also stocked at the store. Alongside sneakers, you’ll also find garms from the likes of Bleu de Paname, A Kind of Guise, Roseanna, Ami, G.kero, Suzie Winkle, Masscob, Paraboot, Simon&Me, and Études Studio.
