Scarlett Johansson plays the Major in Ghost in the Shell from Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures in theaters March 31, 2017.

Paramount and DreamWorks Pictures today released the first image of Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of Major Motoko Kusanagi in Rupert Sanders’ upcoming adaptation of Kodansha Comics cyberpunk manga and anime series, Ghost in the Shell.

According to the official synopsis, the film follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9.

Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.

Ghost in the Shell hits theaters March 31, 2017.
