When you come across a great film, it's always a good idea to do some research and check out other movies that are in the same sphere, so to speak. With our If You Liked series we intend to do just that. Each week we'll be presenting you with a selection of films you'll love "if you liked" that week's particular highlighted movie and/or director.

This week’s film recommendations have been chosen around Disney's recently released 3D animated buddy cop comedy, Zootopia. The film details the unlikely partnership between a rabbit police officer and a red fox con artist as they uncover a conspiracy that involves the disappearance of predator civilians within the city of Zootopia.

Alice in Wonderland (1951)

Lewis Carroll's beloved fantasy tale is brought to life in this Disney animated classic. When Alice falls down a rabbit hole, she enters a magical world. There she encounters an odd assortment of characters, including the grinning Cheshire Cat and the goofy Mad Hatter. When Alice ends up in the court of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts, she must stay on the ruler's good side -- or risk losing her head.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005)

During the World War II bombings of London, four English siblings are sent to a country house where they will be safe. One day, Lucy finds a wardrobe that transports her to a magical world called Narnia. After coming back, she soon returns to Narnia with her brothers and her sister. There they join the magical lion, Aslan, in the fight against the evil White Witch.

Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009)

After 12 years of bliss, Mr. Fox breaks a promise to his wife and raids the farms of their human neighbors. Giving in to his animal instincts endangers not only his marriage but also the lives of his family and their animal friends. When the farmers force Mr. Fox and company deep underground, he has to resort to his natural craftiness to rise above the opposition.

The Land Before Time (1988)

From Steven Spielberg and George Lucas comes the animated classic that started a global phenomenon. Go back in time with Littlefoot, who's orphaned after his mother perishes while protecting him from a vicious carnivore. With her last breath, she tells him how to get to the legendary Great Valley, where he will be reunited with others of his kind. With his friend Cera, Littlefoot sets out for the fabled land, meeting a variety of new friends along the way -- all while being tracked by the dinosaur that killed his mother.

Rango (2011)

A chameleon who has lived as a sheltered family pet finds himself in the grip of an identity crisis. When he accidentally winds up in a frontier town called Dirt, he takes the first step on a transformational journey as the town's new sheriff. Though at first Rango only role-plays, a series of thrilling situations and outrageous encounters forces him to become a real hero.

Space Jam (1996)

Whenthe Nerdlucks gang heads to Earth to kidnap Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes, Bugs challenges them to a basketball game to determine their fate. The aliens agree, but they steal the powers of NBA basketball players, including Larry Bird and Charles Barkley -- so Bugs gets some help from superstar Michael Jordan.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

This live-action independent film presents the origin story of Splinter and the Turtles, the initial meeting between them, April O'Neil and Casey Jones, and their first confrontation with The Shredder and his Foot Clan. The intrepid heroes -- Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo -- are trained in the Ninjutsu arts by their rat sensei, Splinter. When a villainous rogue ninja, who is a former pupil of Splinter, arrives and spreads lawlessness throughout the city, it's up to the turtles to stop him.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)

Based on Gary K. Wolf's 1981 novel, which depicts a world in which cartoon characters interact directly with human beings and animals, Who Framed Roger Rabbit is set in 1947 Los Angeles, California and blends live action with animation. When Roger is framed for a scandal involving his wife, Jessica Rabbit, and the murder of a wealthy Hollywood businessman, he teams up with Valiant to find the real culprit.
