GHOST WORKS is a Portland-based industrial design consultancy made up of a team of builders, tinkerers, testers, and tuners. Their personal passions in turn fuel the designs that they produce day in and day out.

Most recently, the agency’s gang of footwear designers took on the task of customizing a Yamaha FJ1200 that was raced at the 2016 Philip Island Classic. The above film highlights some of the build process of the XR69 tribute bike, as well as insight from the designers themselves.

Between the design and the actual construction, the custom motorcycle took roughly a year to be completed, as it was made almost from scratch. Now, the bike is done, and the race is finished, but the story is just beginning to be told, courtesy of the above short film.

Not NYC, not LA.
