Last night, Thursday, April 28, we popped by adidas Originals's "KOSATEN" exhibition for the opening night, held in Toyko's Harajuku district.
The 10-day immersive exhibit connects the dots between the past, the present, and the future of the fabled German brand. Displaying the cultural heritage of adidas's past through 700 historical products, the future is then embodied by adidas's Futurecraft, Boost and Primeknit technologies.
As for adidas's current phase, ambassadors and global influencers supporting the Spring/Summer 2016 "Future" campaign were joined by genuine living legends. Former no. 1 American tennis player and two-time Grand Slam singles champion Stan Smith was in attendance, who related his experiences with the brand and how its early innovation helped him win on the court. This was then followed by performances from Yuki, of Japanese pop group Young Juvenile Youth fame to finish off the night.
adidas's "KOSATEN" exhibition runs from April 29 to May 8 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Harajuku's BANK Gallery, Jingu-mae 6-14-5, Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo 150-0001.
