Those taking a peek at this year’s Gumball 3000 Rally will be in for something of a shock. A wholly new kind of car will be gracing the event, albeit one that most of us will be familiar with. Raced by Team Galag, there will be a real-life, fully functioning Batmobile zooming around the track.
It was created by Swedish company Caresto, based on detailed designs from the version of the iconic car/tank featured in the recent Batman video game Arkham Knight. It is a truly gargantuan piece of machinery, run by an internal Lamborghini Gallardo V10 engine. Homage to the Caped Crusader is placed on the inside of the vehicle as well, with the bat symbol being placed on the steering wheel and internal compartments.
