As with many other companies, Nike has been working on 3D printing technology for years now. And after recently introducing a custom track spike for sprinter Allyson Felix, the Swoosh has just announced a new partnership with multinational information technology company, HP.

The collaboration will seemingly enhance the brand’s 3D printing efforts, which builds off of three years of previous work surrounding the technology, alongside Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). So far, Nike has used the innovative tech to create the aforementioned track spike and to build multiple football cleats.

The 3D printing isn’t solely limited to footwear either. The Swoosh has already utilized the technology on the Cooling Hood and the Nike Football Rebento Duffle Bag.

Nike is hoping that their new partnership with HP will speed up the process in producing more advanced, quality prototypes.
