Where form meets function

Over 100 artists, musicians, photographers and creative types of all kinds gathered in Oahu earlier this year for the annual POW! WOW! street art festival. Filmmaker Michael Inouye was on hand to capture some of the highlights, and the end result is this in-depth documentary.

The film follows a variety of different artists of all disciplines who participated in this year’s POW! WOW! For example, the work of Slinkachu, a British artist building site-specific miniature installations out of found objects, is brought to life in a way that many would have missed in person. The clip also speaks to some of the directors behind the festival, who give a little more insight into organizing and executing the massive event.

Check out the full film above and stay tuned for more info on POW! WOW!’s next events.
