Today would have been the 45th birthday of the one and only Tupac Shakur, the rap icon who was taken from this world far too soon. And while most of us have been quietly mourning with somber listens of "California Love," there is now a cause for celebration. The first teaser has emerged for the much-talked about biopic of his life, All Eyez on Me.

All Eyez on Me is a comprehensive look at his career, from its very beginnings to his drive-by murder in 1996. The teaser doesn’t give us much in way of specific scenes, but it features an incredibly affecting narration from his mother as we see glimpses of the rapper preparing for a show. Tupac is being played by newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., while the film will also feature Jamal Woolard, the actor from the similarly-minded biopic Notorious, reprising his role as The Notorious B.I.G.

Stay tuned for release info on All Eyez on Me, and RIP Tupac.
