In its last lookbook, Korean brand Eastlogue played a bit with stripe prints across its collection of three-piece summertime suits. Now the brand has taken that detail to its logical extreme in the preview lookbook of its upcoming SS17 season, where stripes have become the centerpiece of a collection inspired by the navy.
Titled “On the Sea,” the collection takes specific cues from the styles of the U.S. Navy circa 1940s and 1950s. This influence is clearly felt in pieces like the classic shirt and tie paired with baggy pants and the waistcoats printed in navy stripe. The feeling of wear for the water is still clearly felt in other ways, notably in the indigo poncho with bucket hat and the heavy-duty overalls.
Look out for Eastlogue’s SS17 to appear on retailer Sortie Seoul’s online store.
