Following last week’s announcement that NikeLab will collaborate with Louis Vuitton’s artistic director Kim Jones, the two parties have just gifted us with a sneak peek at one of the items set to drop later this year.

Debuting today at Louis Vuitton’s show at Paris Fashion Week, the NikeLab Air Zoom LWP x Kim Jones is said to be a modern take on the 1995 original, which was the first running shoe to feature Zoom Air technology. However, while the upper draws design inspiration from the Air Zoom LWP, the shoe is actually built on the Air Max 1 to celebrate Jones’s love for that silhouette.

Packable sport-style apparel is also set to feature alongside the hybrid sneakers in the full collaboration collection.

The NikeLab Air Zoom LWP x Kim Jones will release this July online and at NikeLab stores.
