The retro beverage will go on sale in 20-ounce bottles, but only for a limited time, at major retailers beginning July 7 in Canada and August 8 in the U.S.
Available for an eight-week run, the comeback is all about nostalgia for PepsiCo, as Linda Lagos, director of marketing for Pepsi revealed, “Pepsi is all about pop culture and few things are as hot right now in pop culture as the 1990s.”
In turn, the marketing campaign for Crystal Pepsi will center around ’90s culture.
Crystal Pepsi did, however, make a brief comeback last year, but solely via an online sweepstakes that lasted less than two days in December.
Earlier this year, PepsiCo revealed the new Pepsi Light “dumbbell” bottle designed to encourage healthy living.
