The longtime friendship between Italian sports brand Diadora and Scottish sneaker store hanon has produced yet another tasty collaboration, this time on the V7000 silhouette

The V7000 is a retro running model straight from Diadora’s 1990s catalogue. It’s lightweight, yet always guarantees a good level of foot support and comfort. The “Inter City” V7000 sports the original midsole with a double density EVA, but the two brands have given the shoe a more luxurious feel this time out. That means a rich upper of silky pig suede and kangaroo leather, as well as premium mesh panels. Dual branding including hanon’s flame logo is embroidered at the heel and tongue.

The orange, teal and royal blue colorway is inspired by a little-known public transport service called the “Saturday Special,” which transported football fans to matches up and down the country throughout the 1980s. The buses and trains of that era were all painted in the same colors as this new sneaker.

The V7000 “Inter City” will be released in limited numbers exclusively at hanon on July 9. Each pair will come with a special edition dust bag, tissue paper and triple lace set.

Meanwhile, Diadora just got patriotic with the “Espresso Americano” pack.
