The Jack Purcell has been one of Converse’s greatest models since the inception of the silhouette – from the feet of James Bond to celebrities, the model has been touted as a reliable classic.
This summer, Nike is remixing the Jack Purcell with the beauty of carnivorous plants – arriving in two separate colorways, Jetstream and Black. Each pair will feature exotic flora such as the famed Venus flytrap on top of goat leather, with the Jetstream colorway representing the jungle during the day, and the black pair representing the dark, wild side at night.
In addition to flashy updated designs, the pairs will also come with updated tech, such as the Zoom Air technology that made Flyknit Racers famous for its comfort, and Ortholite sockliner. Leather lining rounds out the array of premium features of the shoe, giving it a luxurious feel without compromising that all-important comfortable fit.
The Converse Jack Purcell Carnivorous releases in limited quantities on July 22 at select Converse stores and First String retailers worldwide, as well as Converse.com.
