After more than a 20-year wait, we finally have footage from a new Trainspotting movie as a short teaser has been released by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

In this first look at footage from the new film, Renton (Ewan McGregor), Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) are seen briefly in a copy of a scene from the original, standing on a platform as a train trundles through, though this time looking older, as Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life” plays over the top.

The film is expected to be loosely based on author Irvine Welsh’s 2002 novel Porno. The book was the followup to his 1993 tale of Edinburgh heroin addicts and tells the story of Renton as he returns to the gang to embark on a pornography venture following a stint in Amsterdam.

Check out the new teaser clip above, and afterwards take a look at the first behind-the-scenes images from the set in Edinburgh, Scotland.
