Earlier this year, we saw London-based retailer Universal Works collaborate with Novesta Shoes on a signature collection of some of the latter brand’s iconic silhouettes. Across four warm colorways, the pair brought the Star Master and Star Dribble sneakers to life in a way that honored the Slovakian shoemaker’s age-old construction tradition. Now the two have teamed up again for a second season, this time focusing on creating the Star Master in a wholly new way.

The FW16 Star Masters also arrive in four colorways, though in the significantly more understated offerings of ecru, black, navy and grey. Construction wise, it continues the Novesta process of binding its uppers to an all-natural rubber sole, but instead of the canvas that marked last season’s collection, this year’s versions are created from Burel wool, an artisanal Portuguese felt fabric.

Stay tuned for the Universal Works x Novesta FW16 offerings to appear on UW’s online store.
