Hollywood star Christoph Waltz has appeared in a witty new ad for Samsung’s Galaxy Note7 in which he subtly mocks the always-busy way of life in America.

The Austrian-German actor, best known for his role as Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, is seen pondering why Americans work so hard to win at everything, before concluding that the Galaxy Note7 is the perfect phone for such a busy nation.

Waltz plays everyone from George Washington and Abraham Lincoln to a cornrowed vacationer sitting under a waterfall. he’s also seen multitasking in a series of ridiculous costumes as a housewife, car salesman, a tech-savvy child, and track and field running star, before transforming into a true patriot expounding American ingenuity. It’s weird, wonderful and pretty ironic — watch it above.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note7 will be available stateside in black, silver and blue, beginning August 19, and you can read more about it here.
