Gucci has undergone one of the most exciting transformations ever to hit the fashion sphere. Since Alessandro Michele was appointed Creative Director in January 2015, the Italian house quickly soared from being a struggling luxury magnate to one of the most lauded names in the business.

Abandoning the gaudy glamour and ostentation, Michele’s whimsical, bohemian vision has breathed an entirely new life into the brand – one that continues to garner significant praise for its baroque detailing, vivid colors and eclectic fabrics.

While Gucci has always been a label affiliated with luxe living, Michele’s rebellious flair has amped up the brand’s “cool” factor in a tremendous way. These days, Gucci’s clientele extends well beyond first-class duty-free shoppers, tapping into a market that consists of the uppermost echelon of contemporary tastemakers and youthful influencers.

These 10 celebrities have proven how much Michele’s Gucci has been resonating with the industry, putting it back on the fashion map unlike ever before.

A$AP Rocky

Inez & Vinoodh / Vanity Fair

It’s no surprise that Pretty Flacko is one of the most stylish rappers in the game. Ever the trendsetter, Rocky has been one of Alessandro’s biggest supporters, frequently spotted donning some of Gucci’s more bombastic pieces.

But it was his spread in Vanity Fair’s March 2016 issue that really had us reevaluating all kinds of life goals, where he was photographed sprawling about on a plush lounge chair while laced in a women’s floral silk robe and embroidered flare trousers from the Italian house’s FW16 collection. Nice pedicure Rocky, I’m guessing that’s why you slipped off those kangaroo fur-lined loafers?

Jared Leto

By now, I’m sure you’ve seen the photo-turned-meme where Jared Leto is ostensibly fawning over a green Gucci jacket and pink shorts ensemble at the label’s SS17 catwalk show during Milan Fashion Week. While the reality of said photo has since debunked its alleged perception, Leto is a Gucci fan, and a pretty big one at that. Say what you will about that photo, Jared, but we see you thriving at London’s Suicide Squad premiere in that near identical outfit you spotted on the runway.

Beyoncé

Official "Formation" Music Video

What could be more fire than one of the most charged videos of 2016? The fact that it features a heaping handful of sick Gucci getups for one, including this sheer pastel lace number from Alessandro’s SS16 collection. In the words of the Beyhive, “Slay, queen, slay.” Seemed appropriate.

Young Thug

Harley Weir / Dazed

With his outré sartorial choices that dip and dabble between both men’s and women’s wardrobes, Young Thug has been a leader in flipping the way hip-hop defines black masculinity on its backside – a look that’s actually most fitting for Alessandro’s Gucci, which champions an outsider spirit unlike anything ever witnessed from the storied luxury brand.

For his Dazed Autumn 2015 cover story, the rapper went into detail about his unique fashion sense, which was made apparent via the story’s accompanied editorial, where Thugger poses in a series of effeminate Gucci FW15 pieces, including this red sheer lace top.

2 Chainz

2 Chainz isn’t a stranger when it comes to fashion; peep any installment of our ongoing Weekly Juice series, and you’ll be quick to find the rapper roaming about in some dapper ensemble or another. Case and point: this insanely dope shearling-lined, patch-covered Gucci FW16 denim jacket, which Chainz whipped out at this year’s BET Awards. Bonus points added for that popped-collar polo.

Rihanna

Celebrated bad gyal, queen of ratchetry and noted nipple-freer, Rihanna lived up to all of these titles when she took to the streets in this emerald green lace dress that opened Gucci’s SS16 catwalk show, opting to wear it without any sort of lining – because opaque undergarments are for plebeians, clearly.

Drake

At an NBA game back in March, Drizzy, a new inductee to the Gucci convent, showed his love for the Toronto Raptors by flexing a trademark GG jacquard windbreaker and scarf. Guess all of the 6God’s praying payed off, since his beloved team won that night. Or did Lady Luck arrive in the form of a pricey Italian jawn? Discuss.

Harry Styles

GOME / Xposure / AKM-GSI

Aside from this Zayn Malik fellow, I hardly know anything about the other members of One Direction – nor do I care to, if I may be so frank. But what I do know is that the de-facto leader of the colossally popular UK boy band, Harry Styles, has been a prominent Gucci follower for a minute now. Whether it’s the whimsical prints, svelte tailoring or the fact that his sheeny lion’s mane perfectly compliments the brand’s silky fabrics, Styles’ recurring Gucci-clad sightings make him one of Team Alessandro’s biggest players.

Pusha T

UpscaleHype

G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T may know a thing or two about running a record label, but he also appears to be a sensible dresser. These snake-embroidered jeans from Gucci’s FW16 range have been spotted on many a celebrity and influencer, but my vote goes to King Push for pulling them off in the most low-key sophisticated way possible (it also helps that he was delivering a speech at Harvard while wearing them).

Future

CelebNFashion247

Dwelling in the same monastery as Champagne Papi, Future demonstrated his holy union with Alessandro’s Gucci when he was spotted backstage in this reversible SS16 blue silk bomber and GG jacquard scarf.
