Kevin Hart is used to entertaining audiences with his quick-witted jokes, and now he’s hoping to do the same with his quick-spitted rhymes.
The comedian and movie star has announced that he’s about to release a new rap album as his hip-hop alter-ego, Chocolate Droppa. According to The Associated Press, Hart/Droppa has been signed by Motown Records, and will be releasing a full-length, as-yet-untitled album this fall.
While he hasn’t released music before, Hart has laid out his rap skills (and we use the word skills, lightly) in videos posted online. He offered a warning to his fellow rappers in the recent Instagram post that can see above. In it, Hart calls out fellow artists Drake, Future, Jay Z and 2 Chainz before saying: “If you’re a rapper I suggest you run because I’m about to come for all of you suckas.”
The comedian caption the post with: “Y’all thought that Droppa was playing, Game over Motha Fucka’s… I’m BACK!!!! #Droppa #AlbumDroppingSoon.” Hart has performed as Chocolate Droppa throughout his career during various radio appearances, meetings with rap artists and on Saturday Night Live. Stay tuned for a release date.
Not only is Hart a comedian, actor and now a rapper – he’s also your next fitness trainer.
