Where the runway meets the street

Business of Fashion has just published their new ranking of the year’s best fashion schools. The publication’s Global Fashion School Ranking aims to provide an objective assessment of the top undergraduate and graduate fashion programs around the world, based on 60 different data points from 54 participating institutions, as surveys were completed by over 10,000 students and alumni, with feedback from over 130 HR professionals, global fashion influencers, fashion school academics and BoF’s own analysis.

Business of Fashion’s ranking system is in turn based on three major factors: global influence, learning experience and long-term value. Each school was awarded an overall scored based on this trio of indicators.

Coming in at number one for 2016, with an overall score of 95, is Central Saint Martins of London, followed by the UK’s Kingston University (83.4) and Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture (81.8) in Finland. Rounding out the top five are Belgium’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (80.9) and New York’s Parsons School of Design (78).
