Tesla’s new Model S P100D with Ludicrous mode is the third fastest accelerating production car ever produced, traveling from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. This puts the Model S behind only the million-dollar LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder in terms of speed, which were both released in extremely limited numbers, but currently cannot be bought new.

For this, Tesla’s new Model S is now considered to be the fastest production car in the world.

Additionally, the all-wheel drive Model S P100D boasts a 100 kWh battery that increases range substantially to an estimated 315 miles on the EPA cycle and 613 kilometers on the EU cycle, also making it the first to go beyond 300 miles and the longest range production electric vehicle by a large margin.

Not NYC, not LA.
