Immediately after revealing the tracklist for The Divine Feminine earlier this month, it was clear that Mac Miller's forthcoming album has some standout features on it. Quite possibly the most noteworthy, however, is the closing track with Kendrick Lamar, "God is Fair, Sexy, Nasty."
In speaking with Zane Lowe today on his Beats 1 Radio show, Mac dished on the new song with Kendrick. He prefaced by speaking about how crazy it is to think that just years ago Lamar was opening for his tour. He then went on to mention how seriously he takes collaborations and being in the studio with given artists, revealing that he aims at making a song that doesn't merely sound like a Kendrick track or a Mac Miller track, for example, but rather a joint creation.
Before unleashing the song, Miller tried to explain it to Zane by saying it "sounds like being in the ocean, relaxing, calm, like floating, and just like out there and comfortable with your thoughts."
As the closing number for the record, Mac insists it ends things on a high, positive note, as opposed to his previous projects.
