We’ve already had a look at nonnative’s London-inspired FW16 collection, and now the Japanese cult label has shared a bizarre new video to compliment the release.

Shot by director Kouichi Toya, “BACK TO EVERYDAY PEOPLE” is the first film in a two-part short series which draws inspiration from ancient Asian art of war, and is built around a fictitious battle technique called the “8 gate strategy”. The biggest takeaway from the trippy clip occurs around 2:19 in scene two when we’re given a close-up shot of a zippered shroud black Converse; a silhouette lifted from the imprint’s forthcoming collaboration.

Stay tuned to these pages for the conclusion, and further information on the “8 gate strategy”.

Before Converse, nonative partnered with Lacoste. Check out the collection here.
