Where form meets function

Top Gear fans, the wait is almost over. Amazon’s new show The Grand Tour show, featuring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, premieres on November 18 and it’s just released a brand new trailer to whet everyone’s appetites.

The BBC has continued to run Top Gear without the beloved trio, but reviews and ratings have been desperately poor. The latest trailer for The Grand Tour, on the other hand, looks to have everything the show has missed since they departed: gorgeous supercars (including the McLaren P1, Porsche 918, LaFerrari aka the Holy Trinity), a tank, a helicopter, and even a camel.

More importantly, the lads appear to be back blowing up cars, thinking up ludicrous challenges, and just generally taking the piss out of each other. Some things will be a little different, though — instead of a normal television studio, the show will have a big tent that travels around the world with local audiences attending each episode.

Thirty-six episodes will stream weekly on Amazon Prime over a three-year period after the trio (and producer Andy Wilman) departed the BBC after Clarkson punched a producer. As you do.

Check out the trailer above, and watch out for the show’s premiere on November 18.

Meanwhile, Mercedes has unveiled a new AMG GT Bobby-Car for kids.
