Are ‘floating’ speakers about to become the next big thing? It certainly looks that way. After this cloud prototype first emerged at the beginning of the month, a much darker celestial design has now surfaced in the form of the infamous Star Wars Death Star.

Almost like magic, the bluetooth-equipped Death Star orb is suspended in the air by magnetic levitation. And that’s not all. When pressed, the orb will then spin 360 degrees, all the while still playing your music with zero impact on quality.

The speaker comes equipped with a lithium battery, meaning that it’s suitable for travel and outdoor use, and can last up to five hours of playback time between charges.

The Star Wars Death Star levitating speaker is available for pre-order via The Fowndry for around $180. Check it out here.

Staying with Star Wars, a new film is coming and it will feature Donald Glover.
