Disney has released the full trailer for its live-action Beauty and the Beast remake, starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast.

The new footage shows Belle's father Maurice (played by Kevin Kline) locked up at the Beast's castle, as well as the very moment Belle locks eyes with the mean-looking-but-kindhearted creature. She gives herself up for Maurice’s sake, but soon learns, thanks to some talking trinkets, that the Beast is far kinder than he appears.

Meanwhile, the annoying Gaston (played by Luke Evans) is stoking flames of hatred in the nearby village in order to launch an attack on the castle.

Directed by Bill Condon, the film also features Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Josh Gad as Le Fou and many more.

A tale as old as time, the Beauty and the Beast live-action remake arrives in theaters on March 17. Watch the trailer above.

After you've finished, here's a comprehensive look at Disney’s collaboration history.
