A brand new trailer for upcoming film Patriots Day, an account of the aftermath of the Boston Marathon Bombing, has been released.

Directed by Peter Berg, the film will follow Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders (Mark Wahlberg) as he teams with first responders, survivors and investigators in a thrilling hunt for the bombers before they have another chance to strike.

The film will also feature the stories of Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), Sergeant Jeffrey Pugliese (J.K. Simmons) and nurse Carol Saunders (Michelle Monaghan) as the story chronicles one of the most intense manhunts in law enforcement history.

Patriots Day is set to open in Boston, New York and LA on December 21, and will see a wider release on January 13 of next year.
