As mentioned back in September, Apple and Nintendo are bringing Super Mario to Apple devices. Beginning December 15, Super Mario Run will be available for iPhone and iPad in the U.S.

Players will in turn be able to try elements of the game’s three modes for free. Once downloaded, a one-time fee of $9.99 USD will award you unlimited access to each of the three modes in the release.

“The wait is almost over for a Super Mario game that can be played on mobile devices,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Developed under the direction of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Super Mario Run brings a new take on the series’ beloved action-platforming gameplay to iPhone and iPad for the first time.”

Super Mario Run is the first Super Mario Bros. game developed specifically for mobile devices, initially compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices running iOS 8.0 or later.

Again, look for the Super Mario game to become available beginning December 15.

Not NYC, not LA.
