Men's fashion weeks are almost upon us once again, and as fashion's finest prepare their jaunts to the world's fashion capitals, Pitti Immagine has announced details surrounding Pitti Uomo's 91st season.

Pitti Uomo 91 takes place January 10-13, 2017, and is titled “Pitti Dance Off.” The winter fair will portray the parallels between dance and fashion—two diverse forms of expression—and encourage freedom of personal styles. Reinterpreting and adding their own ironic twist, Pitti will reference the heritage of street dance and dance contests. Street dance being inextricably linked to streetwear, the theme indicates the growing acceptance of a once sneered upon fashion culture.

Once again, Pitti Immagine has worked with artists on a digital project accompanying the event. Director and photographer Dennison Bertram, creative consultant Gloria Maria Cappelletti, producer Morena Russo and choreographer Nicolò Besozzi worked together with the fair’s team to make “Pitti Dance Off” a multimedia experience.

This season Fortezza de Basso will house 1,220 brands and collections, including 210 new names and big international brands such as Z Zegna, Tommy Hilfiger and Paul Smith. The creative partnership between Pitti Immagine and MINI continues bringing a series of projects focusing on new fashion talents, lifestyle trends and cultures.

New for 2017, "HI Beauty" is an area dedicated to fragrances, body care and grooming products, and cosmetic research specialists. While “MAKE” is a section showcasing artisanal products and their makers — a new generation of craftspeople from around the world that are dedicated to traditional production but in step with contemporary ideas.

Check out what the fashion elites were wearing last season.
