The Simpsons has had quite a year. It officially became the longest-running sitcom in American television history, and it had a field day during the election season (the results of which it eerily predicted years ago). Now they are preparing to launch their biggest episode ever, with the help of a few friends like Snoop Dogg, RZA and Common.
All three of these iconic musicians will be appearing in an episode titled “The Great Phatsby,” which will premiere in January. It will be a full hour-long special which, somewhat surprisingly, will be the first time The Simpsons have undertaken such a large episode. Aside from the above rappers, Key & Peele‘s Keegan-Michael Key and Academy Award-nominee Taraji P. Henson will also be lending their voices. As you might guess from the title, the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald will serve as inspiration for the plot, but what actually happens will be anyone’s guess.
In other music news, Childish Gambino stopped by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon for a surprisingly sultry performance of his single “Redbone.” Watch it right here.
