Tune in and turn up

The proposed boxing match between Chris Brown and Soulja Boy has only gathered more interest in recent weeks after it was announced that two past champions – Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr. – would be training each boxer, respectively.

Although there is still no indication that a fight is going to take place – and the added twist that both fighters must pass drug tests for an amateur bout on American soil (making Dubai an option) – the Las Vegas sportsbooks are adding further legitimacy to the speculation by creating a betting line like in the case of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor.

UK bookmaker, Coral, have placed Brown as the perennial favorite, with odds of 1-7 of winning. Soulja Boy, meanwhile, is 4-1 to win.

“With Iron Mike in his corner and a reputation for getting into scuffles, Breezy is our hot favorite to win this battle of the hip-hop artists,” said Coral spokesperson, Nicola Mcgrady.

Stateside, Bovada has set the Las Vegas odds for the fight, and the company heavily favors the R&B singer as well. Brown is posted at -160, which means to win $100 USD, one would have to bet $160 USD. Conversely, Soulja Boy is is +125, which means you would win $125 USD off a $100 USD bet.

If you’re confused as to why these two entertainers want to beat each other bloody, have no fear, we’ve got you covered.
