From the ground up

You might remember that back in September of last year, Kanye West teased a “Calabasas” pair of adidas Originals’ ’80s-style Powerphase sneakers. Well now, Yeezy Mafia is reporting that the shoe will finally be released this spring for a reasonable price of $120.

The YEEZY rumors account (which has an impeccable record of predicting adidas releases) posted the news on Twitter yesterday, with a caption reading: “adidas x YEEZY #CALABASAS POWERPHASE will release in Spring 2017 at a fair retail price, only $120.00”

The Powerphase is somewhat of an underrated, under-loved silhouette for the Three Stripes, and ordinary non-Calabasas pairs can be picked up for as little as $55 over at retailers like END. That could be all set to change in the next few months. Stay tuned for more information.

In other news, Sneakersnstuff and Social Status teamed up on the adidas Ultra Boost.
