Just like he promised, today Heron Preston delivered his first collection presentation at Paris Fashion Week. Preston did, however, present a collaboration with New York City’s Department of Sanitation last season in New York, but he since revealed that “everything, now, is made in Italy, though.”
“The first collection was done mainly with up-cycled and donated pieces from sanitation workers. That’s hard to scale,” Preston went on to explain to Vogue. “I’m not totally green, I just want to be better.”
For FW17, Preston delivered impressively with padded bomber jackets, a foliage hoodie, utilitarian pants with airflow zips, and neon-brushed tops, among other favorites. A youthful cast of Instagram-friendly youths donned the gear, before the Parisian police force came and shut the show down.
All in all, HP’s new seasonal onslaught comes off as notably authentic and quite functional. Be sure to leave us your thoughts in the comment section below.
