The latest White Mountaineering FW17 collection was presented this week as part of Paris Fashion Week. Featuring a strong emphasis on black, the use of one primary color may simplify the collection but instead it highlighted the utilitarian aesthetic of this season’s presentation.
“I’m more inspired by rescue workers, military, and police—people who are facing serious, dangerous situations,” said Japanese designer Yosuke Aizawa. The outerwear especially looks as though it’s sturdy and resistant while also being particularly upscale in its appearance. The materials were carefully selected to ensure that they would be durable in cold weather. The collection also featured storm hoods, sweaters and utility pouches.
Recently, White Mountaineering collaborated with adidas to release two exclusive NMDs which are now available.
