Milanese label GCDS (that stands for God Can’t Destroy Streetwear) has unveiled its SS17 collection with a delightfully seedy lookbook and short film, starring model, singer and LA scene girl Caroline Vreeland.

The collection is a step away from the darker, more mysterious GCDS collections of the past (see here, here and here), instead harking back to the naive and playful times of youth. Seemingly effortless, colorful pieces with worn-in floral prints and branded stripes sit alongside simple silhouettes and relaxed sportswear. Shades of red and yellow are interspersed with bold silver accessories and iconic ’90s-style logos such as “J’ADORE GCDS.”

To further acquaint us with the new offering, GCDS invites us once again to honeymoon at the #GCDSHOTEL. Shot in LA, the short film features Vreeland and fellow model Adonis Bosso exploring the theme of “nostalgic love.” “Nobody ever gets what they want when it comes to love. She wished to cry,” the caption reads. “Yet, she laughed in those happy days that won’t come back. Everything seems simple until you think about it.”
