Nearing its 20th year in the world of fashion, sacai has just debuted its Fall 2017 menswear collection with a nod to founder Chitose Abe’s signature serendipity and tidiness.
As usual, you’ll find that the runway collection offers more of the “good stuff” we’ve all come to love from sacai, as Abe’s “collage” style pieces are readily apparent. Outerwear options, like trenches, mountaineering jackets and tweed coats all give off a distinct sacai uniqueness about them, while other designs like salt-and-pepper emblazoned offerings take a slight departure from past motifs for a refreshing injection of newness.
Most importantly, the new collection displays Chitose Abe’s capabilities in the form of infusion and flow, as opposed to her established position as an expert producer of contrast pieces.
