We’ll be honest: we’re used to seeing jaw-dropping automobiles appear on these pages, but this bad boy takes the biscuit entirely. Ahead of next month’s 87th Geneva International Motor Show, Singaporean company Vanda Electric has unveiled the Dendrobium, aka the country’s first electric hypercar.

The beast, as we shall refer to it from here forward, takes its name from a Singaporean species of orchid which is said to resemble when the synchronized roof and doors open out. A Formula One-inspired grill can be seen at the front, while the insane, Transformers-esque rear sees the huge spoiler reach from the back wheel arches to the aerodynamic tail.

If you think the beast is impressive at skin level, just wait until you take a look under the bonnet. The car boasts 1500HP, catapulting it up to speeds of 249 mph, but even more dumbfounding is the fact it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. We guess that’s the kind of specs you can expect with the Williams Advanced Engineering Team on board.

Look for the prototype coming next month when the aforementioned 87th Geneva International Motor Show takes place between March 9 and March 19. In the meantime, it’s over to you, Tesla.

Sticking with cars, here’s some of the best releasing in 2017.
