In a next-level move, Starbucks will soon be serving ice cream at more than 100 locations in the United States. As of this week, the American coffeehouse chain will begin offering its Roastery Affogato menu at 10 upscale Reserve bar locations in Los Angeles, Boston and Washington, DC. Affogatos is an Italian treat created by pouring a shot of espresso on top of a scoop of ice cream. The aforementioned Reserve bar locations will feature Classic Affogato for $6 USD and an $8.50 USD Cold Brew Malt, made with small-lot cold brew, vanilla ice cream and chocolate bitters.

Additionally, Starbucks is to begin testing a marginally less expensive affogato menu at 100 traditional Starbucks locations in Orange County, California. Similar options will be offered, although sans small-lot brews, as the most expensive item is a $6.40 USD cold brew malt made with Starbucks’ Narino 70 cold brew and chocolate bitters.

Last June the coffee chain added an affogato to the menu, and since then, it has become a top-five item at the Roastery, year-round.

Not NYC, not LA.
