The D.C. comedian will showcase two new stand-up specials, the first of which is titled “2017” and was filmed in his hometown. Fans can catch that when it premieres on April 4.
“Louis has been one of the most innovative comedy voices in this new era of stand up,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix. “He has also been a thought leader in the business of comedy. We have marveled at his creativity and his ability to invent comedically and commercially, and are thrilled that he is bringing his newest specials to Netflix.”
Louis recently starred in his own drama series Horace and Pete, which streamed on www.louisck.net, before being snapped up by Hulu. Currently, there’s no word on when the critically-acclaimed, eponymous sitcom Louie will be returning.
