Tune in and turn up

After spending the past few weeks swinging from a wrecking ball in the firey, high-octane video for “Go Off” from the Furious 8 soundtrack and stacking paper as one of Forbes2017 Hip Hop Cash Princes, your favourite septum-pierced rapper Lil Uzi Vert has officially gone platinum thanks to his Metro Boomin-produced track “You Was Right,” according to the mighty Recording Industry Association of America.

Vert’s had quite the glo-up in the past few months, gaining the full attention of rap enthusiasts with his feature on Migos’ “Bad & Boujee,” which reached the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 back in January. Most recently, he became a cartoon in a trippy animated version of his video for “You Was Right.”

While you wait for Vert to announce when he’ll drop his highly anticipated mixtape Luv is Rage 2, revisit the original video for “You Was Right” below.

In other music news, Stormzy just dropped some icy visuals for the second single “Cold” off his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer. Get all the details on the latest Wicked Skengman video right here.
