Vince Staples, aka the largest Wes Anderson fan in the rap game, recently dropped a few details about his upcoming album. Speaking to VICE in their March 2017 print issue, Staples finally gives the name of his new album – Big Fish Theory – another homage to the beloved filmmaker’s cult classic The Life Aquatic, for which the rapper named his ongoing tour with Kilo Kish.

According to interviewer Kyle Kramer, the new album continues running with the “massive, almost industrial” sounds he’s been exploring in his most recent works Prima Donna and Summertime ’06. Going in deep about his role as an artist, Staples says “as musicians, it’s our job to explain,” and this time around it looks like he will dive lyrically into “ideas of conflicting expectations.” Shoutout to reddit user whskymk for the scans, which you can peep here.

Vince has only just embarked on his The Life Aquatic Tour after teasing it for months, and he’ll be hitting a whopping 26 cities across the US and Canada. Get the full details here.He was also recently interviewed by legendary music journalist Nardwuar, a true milestone of a solid career.
