Diane, it’s nearly the end of the work week here at Highsnobiety HQ, and we’re desperately in need of something perky to make it through to the weekend. Luckily, FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper put together a playlist of classic cuts to accompany our coffee break. Ahead of Twin Peaks‘s return to the silver screen on Showtime, Kyle MacLaughlan assembled 55 caffeinated jams from Lou Reed, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones and more, inspired by his character on David Lynch’s beloved cult TV series. Brew up a fresh pot of coffee, black as midnight on a moonless night, and dig into Agent Dale Cooper’s “Coffeetime” selections below as you anxiously await until May 21 for Twin Peaks‘s third season.

According to Showtime’s CEO David Nevins, the show’s third season will depict “Agent Dale Cooper’s odyssey to Twin Peaks,” and reward those of you nerds who have rewatched the first two seasons multiple times with the hopes of uncovering new revelations about Laura Palmer’s murder. Watch this video of Director David Lynch aka Agent Gordon Cole eating a donut below, and let us know if you find anything.

In other Twin Peaks news, the series now has its own skateboard line. Get all the details here.
