Ah, “Thong Song.” One of those tracks that instantly takes you back to the halcyon days of late ’90s R&B, while simultaneously making you realize Sisqo was way ahead of his time. Luda has been busy preparing for the premiere of the highly-anticipated Fate of the Furious movie, which he stars in, but has found some time to sample Sisqo’s Grammy-winning classic for his new song “Vitamin D,” which features Ty Dolla $ign. Check out the frivolous visuals above.
With a song that riffs off “Thong Song” in the hook, there are no prizes for guessing that the video features plenty of scantily-clad ladies. But thats not all — there’s also the hilarious spectacle of Ludacris sporting a CGI-ed muscular torso to “impress” the models he’s enlisted for the video. Twitter has been, as per usual, remorseless with his decision to do this.
“Vitamin D” is the first song we’ve heard from Ludacris’s currently unnamed ninth album. Revisit the original “Thong Song” below.
In other music news, MF Doom and Danger Mouse (Danger Doom) have shared an unreleased track “Mad Nice.” Take a listen to that here.
