In promotion of their new line of Signature Crafted Recipes, McDonald’s has unleashed a rather comical infomercial, introducing the “Frork.” The Frork is a sort of fork-like utensil that uses French fries for prongs, with the purpose of cleaning up the toppings that fall out of the fast food provider’s jam-packed specialty sandwiches.

Seeing as infomercials tend to showcase items that are really not necessary for everyday use, McDonald’s is in turn playfully mocking themselves, again, in promotion of their new Signature Crafted Recipes.

“Will the Frork change your life? Probably not,” pitchman Anthony Sullivan insists in the video. “Will the Frork improve your Signature Crafted Recipes eating experience? I mean, sure… maybe.”

McDonald’s new Signature Sandwiches are customizable, upscale burgers and chicken sandwiches that boast flavors like Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ Bacon and Maple Bacon Dijon.

“We started with All Day Breakfast, updated our Chicken McNuggets, offered new Mac sandwich sizes for every occasion and now we’re introducing Signature Crafted Recipes because they are inspired by our customers,” Michael Haracz, McDonald’s chef, said in a statement. “And while the Frork is supremely superfluous, it shows that McDonald’s is willing to do whatever it takes to help them enjoy every last bite.”

On May 5, a limited edition supply of Frorks will be given to those who purchase a Signature Crafted Recipes sandwich at participating locations.
