Since dropping her debut album HEAVN last July, Jamila Woods has been steadily gaining recognition outside of her city for her distinctly soulful voice and incredible songwriting. On Instagram earlier this week, Woods teased the video for album track “Holy” along with a surprise announcement. The video dropped yesterday, and was directed by Sam Bailey – the co-creator of comedy web series “Brown Girls.”

Fans might have noticed HEAVN is no longer available to stream on SoundCloud. Along with releasing the video for “Holy,” Woods announced HEAVN will be getting an official digital and physical rerelease on Jagjaguwar and Closed Sessions. In addition to being a stellar musician in her own right, Woods has collaborated with Chance the Rapper on tracks on his albums Surf (released as a project of Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment) and Coloring Book. Chance also featured on HEAVN on a track called “LSD.”
