We recently had the opportunity to get together with renowned artist Ron English at his “East Meets West” exhibit in Hong Kong. During the interview, English dished on everything from growing up poor, his life before art, the early stages of his career, politics, and of course, his current exhibition.
The American contemporary artist is best known for his use of color and comic book collage, exploring brand imagery and advertising.
“East Meets West” in turn delves into how English developed his early craft, while works and figurines are featured, in addition to a merchandise store where fans can purchase exclusive goodies.
The exhibit is open to the public through May 14.
