“If it ain’t xo then it gotta go,” wrote Lana Del Rey in an Instagram post teasing the video for “Lust For Life” this weekend. The visuals for the stunning title track from Del Rey’s upcoming album has arrived, and it of course features The Weeknd, who contributed his signature vocals to the song. Watch it above.
In true nostalgic Lana Del Rey fashion, the video is grainy enough to look like any VHS tape from the mid-’90s. Taking the lyrics from “Lust For Life” literally, Star Girl and Star Boy “climb up the H of the Hollywood sign” and get cozy. The Weeknd sports a Saint Laurent blazer and round glasses, while Lana keeps it real in red.
Lana Del Rey’s latest track is “Coachella – Woodstock In My Mind,” which she wrote after her performance at this year’s festival. No release date for Lust For Life has been revealed, but collaborations with Sean Lennon and Stevie Nicks have been confirmed.
