Kinfolk, the Brooklyn and Tokyo-based clothing brand and nightlife destination, is having a pretty good 2017. Just recently, they were named one of American GQ‘s coolest menswear designers on the planet, and as a result, are dropping a collaboration with Gap this fall.
But before that, they release a special soccer kit done with Italian sportswear brand Kappa. Inspired by Turin, Italy’s Juventus F.C., Kinfolk’s black polyester jersey is paired with breathable white mesh side panels, featuring Kappa and Kinfolk branding on the chest and sides. It pays homage to the kits the club wore when they won the league title in 1997.
“Kappa is a very important brand for me since I grew up with it in Southern Europe watching football throughout the 90s. The jersey that I’ve designed for Kappa carries vintage and retro-inspired influences from the Juventus Kappa heritage era, since I’ve always admired the simplicity of the black & white pattern,” says Kinfolk creative director Jey Perie in a press release. “This design matches Kinfolk’s ethos perfectly and I’m excited to have worked with Kappa on this collaborative piece.”
The Kinfolk x Kappa Jersey retails for $95 and is available now on Kinfolk’s web shop.
