Courtesy of Captain America: Civil War, Marvel took the opportunity to introduce (or reintroduce) multiple new superheroes into the mix, including Tom Holland’s Spider-man and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. Accordingly, the publisher, media company and studio will soon be focusing on the latter, as Black Panther will be making its way to theaters early next year.

With hopes of building hype around the project, Marvel has this week unveiled an official movie poster for the picture, of course showcasing Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, aka Black Panther. As the ruler of the fictional kingdom of Wakanda, Black Panther is doing all that he can to keep his home intact, all while a pair of enemies work together to destroy all that he loves and ultimately ignite global war.

Directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed), Black Panther acts as the 18th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, arriving in theaters February 16, 2018.

Not NYC, not LA.
